{"id":165,"date":"2013-04-25T19:07:58","date_gmt":"2013-04-25T19:07:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/terryvillecongregationalchurch.org\/?page_id=165"},"modified":"2026-03-03T17:01:28","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T17:01:28","slug":"student-intern-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/terryvillecongregationalchurch.org\/?page_id=165","title":{"rendered":"Yale Divinity School Student Internship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are so pleased to be connected with <a href=\"http:\/\/divinity.yale.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Yale Divinity School&#8217;s<\/a> Supervised Ministry (Student Intern) program. \u00a0This program enables seminary students &#8211; who are studying toward ordination &#8211; to work with our congregation and both bring us their gifts for ministry as well as learn from our gifted congregation.\u00a0 While it is not possible to have an intern every year (Yale is almost an hour drive from our church),\u00a0 we have historically had a connection to Yale University and Yale Divinity School, dating back to our church&#8217;s founding in the 1800s.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s some interesting information about our most recent interns and what they&#8217;re doing now&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>2008-2009 Rev. Meghan Young, currently a pastor in North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>2009-2010 Rev. James DeBoer, completed a missionary assignment with UCC Global Missions in Argentina\/Paraguay, was Pastor of the Federated Church of Livingston, NJ, attended law school, and has most recently started practicing law full time.<\/p>\n<p>2011-2012 Rev. Daniel Meyers, currently serving as Chaplain at Butler University.<\/p>\n<p>It is so wonderful to be part of these students&#8217; journeys and stay in touch with them as they grow into their ministry vocations!<\/p>\n<p><em>And did you know&#8230; ?<\/em> \u00a0Our most recent former Connecticut Conference Minister (currently working for the national office of the UCC), Rev.
