Our Sunday school is cooool!  We take great efforts to create an environment in Sunday school that is warm, welcoming, and fun to learn about the Bible, Christian faith, Christian Church history and tradition, and most importantly — God’s love in Jesus Christ.  Sunday school classes run from the 2nd Sunday in September to the third Sunday in May each year.  Our classes are for children ages 3 through high school, and the classes take place during the worship hour on Sunday mornings. All are welcome to come and join our classes!  We teach the Bible and use the Ecumenical, non-denominational Gather Round curriculum to supplement our lessons.  We also teach the Bible using the interactive Godly Play resources and Sparkhouse resources.

How does the worship & Sunday school hour work?

The entire congregation begins the worship hour together in the Sanctuary on Sunday at 10am.  About fifteen minutes into the worship service, the children are invited forward for a “children’s message” with our Pastor. After the message, the children take offering, say a prayer, and go to Sunday school (the classrooms are adjacent to the Sanctuary).  Sunday school, then, takes place for the remaining hour of worship, and children reconnect with their parents in coffee hour (in our Social Hall after worship, about 11:15am).

Parents are welcome to attend class with their students at first to observe the class setting.  We follow safe-church policy and procedure guidelines which helps to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all our students. For children ages 2 and under, we have a nursery available and/or children are welcome to stay in the Sanctuary with their parents throughout worship.

Confirmation Class

In 9th grade, students are welcome to join our Confirmation Class which meets on Sundays at 9am in our chapel.  After a year of intentional study, worship, retreat, fellowship, outreach, and hands-on service, students are invited to confirm their baptism and officially join our church as voting members of the congregation.  The day of Confirmation is the first Sunday in June.

Youth Fellowship

In addition to Sunday school, we have youth fellowship for middle & high school students which includes fellowship meetings, outings and community service projects.  This group typically meets on Sunday afternoons or evenings throughout the year. All are welcome! We are currently meeting two times per month after worship on Sundays for lunch and activities (specific dates are announced in church).
